Start of the school year 2024/25

Dear parents, guardians, and teachers,

We hope you had a pleasant and relaxing summer.

We would like to warmly welcome you to the new 2024/2025 school year at our school. Our school will open its doors next Saturday, August 24, to welcome both returning and new students.

Here are some important details about our school:

  • On the first day of school, Saturday, 24.08.2024, a blessing ceremony (Agiasmos) will take place in the schoolyard at 1:15 PM before classes begin. Participation in this event is voluntary.
  • For the first lesson on 24.08.2024, please arrive with the students at 1:30 PM so that children can be assigned to the correct classes with their respective teachers.
  • We kindly remind you to use only the designated parking spaces to avoid complaints.
  • Our school takes place every Saturday from 1:50 PM to 5:30 PM and includes classes for kindergarten, primary, and secondary school (gymnasium).
  • The detailed timetable and school holidays for the 2024-2025 school year can be found on the school website. For those who have not seen the schedule yet, we are also attaching it.
  • The Greek Language course 'Apfelbaum' is overseen by the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, the Coordination Office in Brussels responsible for Greek diaspora schools, as well as the HSK Organization Committee of the Canton of Zurich.

Note:

Especially for new families starting at our school: Please ensure that students bring a snack and water with them. Preschool and kindergarten children should also have indoor shoes. Detailed information about lessons, materials, schoolbooks, and other details will be provided by the respective class teachers.
