Parents Association
Introduction
The parents' association of the HSK Course for Greek Language and Culture, Zurich in Apfelbaum (Elternverein HSK-Kurs Griechische Sprache und Kultur, Zürich, Apfelbaum) is an officially recognized association organized according to Articles 60–79 of the Swiss Civil Code.
The current association statutes were signed in June 2024.
Role and Mission
The main task of the association is to support the smooth operation of the HSK Course in Greek Language and Culture (T.E.G.), Zürich in Apfelbaum in cooperation with the teaching personnel and the relevant authorities.
The association is responsible for organizational and logistical matters related to the school and is guided by the principles of participation, transparency, and collaboration.

Examples of the Parents Association Responsibilities

Employment of teachers on an hourly basis, if required

Organization of the transport of schoolbooks from Greece

Organization of school celebrations and events in cooperation with the teaching personnel

General Meetings
The first general assembly takes place in October of each school year. Among other things, the annual membership fee per child is determined during this meeting.
The second general assembly is held in May of each school year, during which the association's finances are presented and, if necessary, elections for the renewal of board members are conducted.
The participation of all parent-members is of utmost importance for the smooth functioning of the association.
